About Us

I've been a CT Licensed Massage Therapist since 1998. I have a BS degree from UCONN and I'm a graduate of the 20 month NY Program from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT). The NY program focused more on Asian theories and practice than the standard massage therapy program. I worked at CCMT from 1998 - 2003 in Graduate Services where I served as a liaison between the graduates, the business community and the CT Department of Health. I have been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1998.

My work is a blend of Acupressure (finger pressure along meridians) and deep tissue techniques such as myofascial release, range of motion, cross tissue and sustained compressions. I strive to maximize therapeutic results while assuring a comfortable and relaxing experience. I feel that acknowledging the power of intention and energy is extremely valuable in bodywork. Integrating energy work into a massage session sometimes is the difference between a generic "feel good massage " and an experience that changes how you think and live in your body. I love bodywork and I feel fortunate to work with my clients - who are also amazing teachers!

I live in eastern Connecticut with my husband, Rick Haesche, and my two daughters. Rick is also a licensed massage therapist and specializes in the practice and instruction of Traditional Thai Massage. You can find out more about Rick and Thai Massage at www.bodymindthai.com.
